Spring 2012 - Newsletter
Annual Meeting
The annual meeting will be Tuesday, March 27, at the clubhouse. Check in will be at 6:30 and the meeting
will start at 7:00. You will soon be receiving your meeting announcement and proxy in the mail. Please return the proxy as
soon as possible, even if you plan on attending the meeting.
Yard of the Month
We would like to thank Calloway�s Nursery for sponsoring the Yard of the Month program. Mike and Velvet Read at 7800 Bilsen won the YOM for January. The honor went to Rod and Kathy Armstrong at 7520 England for the month of February. Keeping their yards neatly trimmed and weed free earned them the Yard of the Month award. Watering
Remember to water on the proper days. Even addresses
water every other Thursday, with the next watering day being March 8th. Odd addresses water every other Tuesday, with the
next watering day being February 28th. To comply with these restrictions, OWG decided to forego winter color this year. The
board will discuss summer landscape at the next meeting. For more information about the stage 3 water restrictions, go to

Rats!
We have had many calls about the rat population in our neighborhood. The dry weather has been driving the rats out of the storm drains and creeks, looking for water in swimming pools, birdbaths, or pet water bowls. Do not leave pet food out. Keep wood piles stacked off the ground. Trim tree branches from next to home to discourage attic entry. Neighborhood
Beauty
We have had complaints about the amount of litter in our neighborhood. Old newspapers, fast food bags, and
water bottles are commonly seen throughout the yards and streets. If you are receiving the newspaper but do not pick it up
from your front yard, call to stop your subscription. Not only is a pile of old, wet newspapers an eyesore, they are a mark
for thieves that the home is usually empty during the day. Please be considerate of your neighbors by picking up trash from
your yard.
Another comment regarding neighborhood beauty is dog waste. If you are a dog owner, it is your responsibility
to pick up after your dog. Be respectful of your neighbor�s yard and the park. Plano City Ordinance requires all dog waste
to be removed or face a fine up to $500.
And the third comment about neighborhood beauty is the amount of weeds in yards.
Please make sure you are controlling the weed situation in your yard.
ACC
Remember to submit an ACC form for
permission before any projects are started. Approval is needed for any type of structural changes to your home. This includes
outdoor kitchens, patios, new fences, windows, pools, new roofs, or any other change to your home. The forms can be found
on the website or call Advanced Association Management at 972-248-2238. Remember to submit your request BEFORE work is started
to avoid extra costs if your work is not done to HOA or city code.
Monthly Assessments
The assessments are
due by the first of the month. Any dues received after the first are considered late. Get your payments in on time to avoid
a late fee.
Board Meetings
The OWG Board of Directors meets the third Thursday of the month. If you would
like to attend and wish to speak, please call the management company so you can be put on the agenda. There will not be a
board of directors meeting in March due to the annual meeting. The next meeting will be April 19th.

Oakwood Glen Homeowners Meeting Feb. 16, 2012
New state law requires that all HOA board meetings be announced to the homeowners. Please be advised
that a Board of Directors meeting for the Oakwood Glen Swim & Racquet Club will be held on 2/16/12 at 6:30 pm at the OWG
clubhouse. Items for discussion will be annual meeting planning, amenities center planning for the summer season, and
homeowner issues. All owners are invited to attend. If you have something to discuss, please contact Advanced Association
Management at 972-248-2238 or advancedmgmt@sbcglobal.net so it can be added to the agenda.
